Dr. Donk presents ZAAGSTEP

Dr Donk pres. ZAAGSTEP marks the next evolution of one of the most disruptive names in modern Hard Dance. More than just a new alias or side project, ZAAGSTEP is a fully developed cross-genre sound concept and live experience, merging the intensity of Uptempo & Zaag with the depth of Dubstep and the versatility of Bass music.

Designed as a live-first concept, ZAAGSTEP goes far beyond a traditional DJ set. Each performance features exclusive album material, custom edits, and spontaneous live mashups, ensuring that no two shows are ever the same. Unlike a regular Dr Donk set, ZAAGSTEP is purely focused on ZAAGSTEP material - no pure Hard Dance or Uptempo catalog tracks - built entirely around the sound and visual world of the project. The concept can now be booked internationally either as a full ZAAGSTEP show or as a dedicated Album Showcase, both supported by an entirely new, purpose-built visual production separate from Dr Donk's standard stage design.

On 11 September 2026, ZAAGSTEP celebrated its full-scale world premiere as “ZAAGSTEP by Dr Donk” at Bootshaus Cologne, presented by Blacklist & Inurfase as a dedicated live album showcase and genre-crossover event. Demand proved so overwhelming that the show sold out entirely during pre-registration - 100% of capacity claimed within a few hours, before public tickets ever went on sale.
